Done with school

Although I don't want to say that I'll never begin another degree program, I do announce that I'm done with this one. After 6 years of grueling study, I finished my Master of Divinity program yesterday from The Master's Seminary (strangely enough). It all started with 3 or 4 visits to 2 or 3 seminaries during my junior year of college, then to one year at Dallas Theological Seminary, and then on to Master's for the next 5 years. I am now at a place where I can truly say, I'm done with school; after 25 years of education (Kindergarten-MDiv), I'm done. I now serve as Adult Community Group pastor at The Church at BattleCreek, and have done so for the past year. I can't help but ask myself the question during this season - "am I doing now what I desired to do when I first set my heart and mind toward the ministry?" It was over 8 years ago when I decided that after my bachelor's program at Georgia Tech that I would go off to seminary - this was a decision that grew out of a passion to preach and teach the Gospel, the Bible. I'm not necessarily doing that now. I pray for direction from God.
